Carols by Candlelight has been running for many years in the City of Whittlesea and marks the beginning of our journey towards the end of the year. For 2021 Carols will be a live event at the Civic Centre which will also be livestreamed on the internet.
The livestream will be accessed through Facebook and the City of Whittlesea Arts Website. (Links will soon be available)
Friday 10 December, Terrace Lawn, Civic Centre
Gates open 6pm, performances from 7.30pm.
This in-person event will feature our virtual carols choir, as well as live performers, kids activities, food vans and more. Entry to the event will require those 16 and above to show evidence of full vaccination or an official exemption.
The program will include many old favourites from the Christmas repertoire as well as newer songs drawn from the rich culture of the City of Whittlesea’s many residents. We might also get an insight into some of the customs and traditions that people have at this time of year and how we can feel connected together in a spirit of celebration.
We look forward to celebrating this great time of year with a warm and inclusive event.
