Family Friends
When it’s coffee time and you’re looking for a place to meet with friends or family, Whittlesea has a collection of cafes that value quality caffeine experiences.
Share a cup of Kindness
The Olivine community in Donnybrook is home to the Shared Cup Cafe. The spacious cafe is situated next to a stunning adventure playground that kids of all ages can enjoy. More than just coffee, this cafe focuses on community and connection. Book the space for a party, a book club or a community event. All day breakfast, lunch from 11am and an extensive kids’ menu that will keep everyone happy.
To go with your caffeine, Milklab coconut, almond or lactose free milk, soy from Happy Happy Soy Boy and Califia Farms oat milk is available. At the Shared Cup, they want everyone to have an excellent coffee experience.
A drop in Doreen
Visit Magnolia on Orchard in Doreen for a cafe experience to remember. Delight in knowing that your espresso comes from the passionate coffee specialists Community Roasters. Branch out when ordering and try a pumpkin smash, scrambled eggs with chilli or a green bowl for breakfast. Grab some hotcakes for the kids or fill them up with a chicken parma and chips or some linguine from the under 12s menu.
At Appret Cafe, in the main street of Laurimar, the food is scrumptious and the coffee spectacular. The Toby’s Estate Brunswick Blend offers everything that is bold and smooth about Brunswick; the coffee is a medium strength brew which incorporates hints of praline, spice and hazelnut.
Symmetry in South Morang
At Thirtyfold In South Morang, the beans come from Symmetry Coffee Roasters, a specialty coffee house that makes a range of quality blends. Thirtyfold uses the House blend, a coffee with hints of butterscotch, chocolate, caramel and berries. Filter coffee is also available here. The menu contains a range of international flavours and ensures that you’ll find whatever you’re in the mood for. Order a spicy shakshuka, a beef brisket or a nourishing bowl of vegetables with sweet ginger dressing.
The kids are not forgotten here. Thirtyfold has a selection of toasties and pikelet dishes with fruit and Nutella, or bacon and maple syrup – with a babychino, of course.
Beans in a Bluestone
With all the charm of yesteryear, the Bluestone Café Restaurant in Wollert is a place to settle in for a meal, a coffee and a long conversation. With traditional and gourmet pizzas on the menu, and the Italian desserts make it an ideal place to stop in for coffee and bougatsa, tiramisu, apple tarte tatin or a sweet ricotta cannoli. Everyone knows that coffee makes a dessert better!
Farm views with your coffee
At Two Beans and a Farm you can even bring your furry four legged friends to enjoy the ritual of coffee in the outside dining area (inside is pup-free). Whether you drop in for a coffee and a catch up or you’re there for a full meal, this place will feed your soul. Every delicious item on the menu is prepared onsite and the coffee served is the fair trade Lady Red blend from Red Bean Coffee in Preston. The Carome Homestead is filled with heritage charm giving visitors a gorgeous outlook over the gardens whilst offering modern Australian, European, South American and Meditterranean cuisine.
